With their new NUC 13 Extreme “Raptor Canyon” PC, Intel will permit upgrades to the graphics card, processor, and memory. Both the NUC 12 Pro and NUC 12 Enthusiast versions, which still have a tiny form factor and concentrate on the business and gaming markets, have been unveiled by Intel. However, because this new build is intended for ardent enthusiasts and hardcore users, users will have more possibilities to upgrade the system. The Raptor Canyon model of Intel’s upcoming NUC 13 system will be named after the Raptor Lake CPUs that will be used in it. The Intel Core i9-13900K, Core i7-13700K, and Core i5-13600K are just a few of the 13th Gen ‘K’ unlocked SKUs available in the NUC 13 Extreme ‘Raptor Canyon’. The NUC will come in a 13.9 Liter chassis, which is a 50% increase in chassis size compared to the current Eden Bay Compute Element. It will also support a full-length PCIe x16 graphics card. The brand-new Intel NUC 13 Extreme will enable GPUs with three slots. Since those will be available by then, Intel will undoubtedly promote its own Arc discrete graphics cards with the NUC 13 Extreme PCs, but buyers will also have the option to choose between AMD or NVIDIA graphics cards. Using a Raptor Lake CPU and a GeForce RTX 30 series graphics card, Intel showcased the new NUC 13 Extreme during the TwitchCon announcement. There is no information about the processor version from Intel. The new Intel Raptor Canyon NUC system’s features, release dates, and price will start to become public in the coming weeks. Since the Intel NUC 13 Extreme Mini PCs are anticipated to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2022, Raptor Lake will undoubtedly ship before then. As a result, anticipate the release of 13th Gen desktop CPUs in early Q4 and the NUC 13 systems in late Q3 2022.
