Reinstall Windows 10 Apps

If the app is corrupt in some way, it will fail to update while giving you the above mentioned error. Reinstalling apps will refresh them, replacing old files of apps with new ones. Click the Start button and type apps, and choose “Apps & Features” from the list of results.

Under Type an app name, type the name of app in question, and choose Uninstall. After the app has been uninstalled, reinstall it from the Windows Store or by searching it from the Start Menu. If the Uninstall option is greyed out, then the app is a windows built in app and will need to be uninstalled using Powershell.

To launch Powershell, click Start and type Powershell, right click Powershell and choose Run As Administrator.
