Lance Mcdonald, the very same person who developed the unofficial 60 FPS patch for the game stated that there are currently no technical barriers between Bloodborne and the chances of a PC port or a PlayStation 5 remaster for that matter and Sony could pull it off anytime they want to without any support from the developer, From Software, as it was rumored a few days ago.
— Lance McDonald (@manfightdragon) September 21, 2022 Explaining further, Lance Mcdonald revealed that the Bloodborne 60 FPS patch was managed with only two lines of code and that Japan Studio managed to create a working PC iteration of the game before they were shut down, so it’s quite possible that Sony still has access to this build. The Bloodborne PC port has been rumored to be in the works for quite some time along with a PlayStation 5 remaster as well as a sequel to the hit From Software tile. If it’s true that Sony doesn’t need support from From Software in any official capacity for the port and the remaster, they could be revealed and released at any time, even as the Japanese Studio has its hands full with Elden Ring. Considering both companies haven’t talked about the game on an official basis for quite a while, we shouldn’t hold our breath in the hopes of an imminent announcement.
